And so it goes....

As we say in New Orleans....GEAUX-BAMA!!!!!
Got plans next weekend to celebrate the election over good wine, good food and planning for how we can help our city, our country, our world...our President to succeed.

In New Orleans, we got pretty good at figuring out how we could heal the city at a grassroots level. So now we're going to think about taking it national...but on a local level. We all have such a stake in helping President Obama to succeed.

Yes, we did....and now:

YES, WE WILL!

It's been a while since I started this blog. Life intervened as it always does and my theories got put to the test. Suffice it to say that life continues to be a narrow bridge...but if you don't trot across the bridge anyway, you'll never get where you're going.

That said, I have a narrow bridge road sign in my home..an anniversary gift from my husband who didn't swipe it from a local bridge, but ordered it on line. What a guy!

Anyway, I tripped over it and broke my femur. Now I get it. Life is not only a narrow bridge but a very funny one too. You've just got to laugh.

Just an ordinary day

When you live in a city that has been destroyed, it seems like every day should bring some sort of adventure or major struggle--perhaps an epiphany of some sort. But what really happens is that you just become a more generous person. It happens on a cellular level. It just isn't possible to begrudge --anything. Life becomes the most precious of gifts and if there isn't beauty and joy in it, then it's time to get busy. It's the reason that we're here...to notice these things and then pass it on.
